A vital part of every hospital is the ambulance, without which its essential services are crippled.

However, due to the high sensitive nature of mental illness in our country, we do not send ambulance to pick the patient from their residence. Since, the presence of a mental health ambulance will stigmatise the patient and also it prevents confidentiality from being broken.

However, the ambulance service which can be availed by our patients following admission only for certain specific purposes namely shifting of patient to a higher medical centre for further care, shifting the patient to de-addiction centre and rehabilitation centre.

Ambulance services are also used to send the admitted patients for any imaging required to the diagnostic centre with all precautions and at a quick pace.
