Dementia Day Care

A dementia day care centre is essentially an activity centre where people with Dementia can spend the day by engaging in meaningful and purposeful activities through individual and/or group settings

Through engaging in activities of interest and interacting socially with the staff and other people with dementia, the day care offers a safe space to hone their existing abilities and therefore improve mood and self-confidence.

No. Day care services are to be availed from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm from Monday-Saturday. Your loved one can be picked up and dropped to our facilities on any of the above mentioned days.

Our day care is equipped with the following safety measures:
a. Anti-slip flooring
b. Trained attendants
c. Handles in the bathroom to aid sitting and getting up
d. Wheel chairs available for people who have difficulty walking

Essentially, we use the method of cognitive rehabilitation with our participants at the day care. The participant is encouraged to perform activities of their interest through which strategies are given to help them improve their cognition. For eg: Mrs. X was a retired bank officer. She was encouraged to play monopoly (a game of trading, property and tax) to improve her calculation skills, decision making, and attention. Additionally, we also provide caregiver counselling, home care and management techniques for families.
