Empowering Change: Asha Hospital Conducts Specialized Training on De-Addiction and Counselling for Juvenile Welfare Staff
In a remarkable initiative to strengthen mental health and de-addiction services for vulnerable youth, Asha Hospital, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, proudly announced we have started a training program on De-addiction and Counselling Services for the staff of the De-addiction Centre under the Office of Juvenile Welfare, Correctional Services & Welfare of Street Children, Saidabad.
This training program is started from 7th July 2025 organized in response to a request from the Department for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Senior Citizens and Transgender Persons, as part of the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) and the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA). The goal: to enhance the knowledge, skills, and capacities of the personnel working closely with children and adolescents facing substance abuse issues.
About the Initiative:
As part of Telangana’s “Mission Parivarthana”, a De-addiction Centre for Children was inaugurated on 22nd March 2025 at the Saidabad facility. This center plays a crucial role in rehabilitating juveniles through counseling, behavioral therapy, and medical interventions. Recognizing the need for hands-on skills and structured protocols, the government partnered with Asha Hospital to upskill the front-line staff.
