Access psychology has been started to address the specialised mental health needs of different population groups. Psychological issues in children and adolescents need to be assessed and managed early so that they won’t have a significant effect in the later life. Depression and anxiety are more common in women and it has been shown that untreated psychiatric illnesses have an effect on the development of children and they are more prone to develop psychiatric and psychological issues later in life. Hence, proper evaluation and treatment is important, especially in perinatal period. Nowadays, life is always on the fast lane. People often do not have time to relax or to spend it with our family and friends due to more number of working hours among other reasons. This causes burnout, high stress levels, sleep disturbances etc. Professional help is sometimes needed to cope with these issues.
