Golden Oak – Senior Citizens Home caters to the elderly who have special needs which cannot be taken care of in regular old age homes. Started by Asha Hospitals, a premier psychiatric institute in Hyderabad, Golden Oak – Senior Citizens Home caters to the elderly who are affected with Dementia and related disorders.
At this centre, we have trained staff who look after their specific needs, where various psychological therapies are provided to improve their behavioural problems and enhance their quality of life. The centre offers periodical visits by medical specialists such as psychiatrists, psychologists and physicians, and ophthalmologists to name a few, to help in the early intervention of their medical problems.
Located at Malkaram Village, about 10 km from Shamshabad bus stand, the home has a sprawling campus of four acres with greenery all around, and the facilities are elder-friendly. The home offers dormitories, single rooms, and double-sharing rooms for accommodation, with easy access to well-designed common recreation and dining areas, an activity centre and other facilities.
Families can also use this facility for respite. They can ask for placement in the home to take a vacation/ or a break from dementia care at home, as prevention of caregiver burnout. You are welcome to visit the centre at your convenience and know more about the care we provide.

Golden Oak centre is a home for people with special needs connected to psychiatric health. The centre provides psychiatric services, dementia care & management and continuous monitoring by nursing and medical staff with daily visits by doctors. The home is located on a sprawling 4 acre campus surrounded with trees, spacious walking paths and lawns.
The home is designed for people above the age of 60. People with chronic mental illness and/or mild to moderate dementia can benefit by staying here
People with moderate dementia and chronic mental illnesses need consistent supervision, treatment and care. A minimum of 3 months of stay is advisable for significant improvement.
There are dedicated caretakers and attendants for the residents. However, if you wish, you can plan to stay with your loved one. There are cottages available on campus.
Golden Oak centre has trained nursing staff and on-call medical officers to attend any medical emergency. Facilities to mobilise the person to emergency care is also available
Therapies and activities are planned individually for each patient based on their psychiatric history, diagnosis, social and cultural background. General activities like group reading, cinema, music, dance, art, yoga are conducted on a daily basis.
